My children’s knowledge of the English language is far better than their friends’. The only reason for it is the fact that they are using audio books for learning English. My elder son has just finishing listening to the last Harry Potter audio book. this Harry potter audio book was a book on tape and consisted of several 30 minutes audio book cassettes.

Students all over the world are learning English using audio books. Audio books are the most effective way of learning English. Learning English by using audio books broadens the vocabulary, helps understanding rapid speaking but more than all it is the only method that helps you learn the right pronunciation.

Using audio books to learn English is quite easy. You should only get audio books on Cd, books on tape or download audio books (You can also download free audio books).

You should find an audio book that best suits your needs. I also recommend getting an audio book with more than one speaker.

Why Children Need to Hear Audio Books

Learning to read is difficult for many children, and requires the development of skills, such as learning to listen to the sounds of their spoken language, learning the correct pronunciation of words, using words appropriately in conversation, learning to put expression into conversation.

These skills can be introduced before the child commences formal schooling. The best way to do this is through the enjoyable experience of the parent reading aloud to the child and encouraging the child to respond to the stories.

If the parent reads with expression and talks to the child about the story they are reading, the child will become engrossed in the story as their imagination is stimulated. Reading to children of all ages is one of the best ways to encourage interest in reading.

Audio books give children access to books that they normally wouldn’t like reading.

The solution might be audio books. Find out in the following article, the benefits and uses of audio books for children.

Audio books for children are actually audio versions of children’s’ books. You may think of audio books for children as a perfect way to pass the time at home or when traveling. Your child may listen to the audio book using an electronic mobile device as a CD player to listen to audio books on CD, an MP3 player to listen to downloaded audio books or a walkman to listen to books on tape.

In some audio books there is music or sound effects.

So what are the benefits of getting your child the latest Harry Potter audio book? Well, Listening to audio books broadens the vocabulary, teaches correct pronunciation, develops the imaginations of your child, encourages the child to read more books of the author and more than all makes your child happy. Encourage your children to listen to audio books that they can not read yet – think of the audio books as an expansion of the old fashion books and as a substitute.

Audio Books - Is Your Child Gaining From These Benefits?

Children’s audio books on CD were something I’d always regarded with mild suspicion. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the experts agree - audio books in fact help improve a child’s reading!

Often children who cannot yet read or who are just learning to read become frustrated by their lack of reading ability. In allowing them to “read” along with an audio book this frustration can be avoided as the child feels as though they’re actually reading. This is an enormous benefit when encouraging a life-long love of books and reading in the very young.

A more obvious, but no less important benefit of listening to stories is that it improves a child’s listening skills. Through just listening to audio books on CD or cassette children’s concentration is improved and they become better listeners and thereby better learners. Audio books can give often exhausted parents a break from reading to their child.

Childrens Book of the Month Club - The Perfect Gift

By Caterina Christakos & Tim Shank

Reading is almost becoming a lost art. Between the video games, children’s DVDs and the endless variety of shows that are geared towards children it’s hard to imagine a time when a child would actually sit down and read a book for enjoyment. There are some children, however that love to read, and they say that this stems from them being read to at a young age, plus having access to some material that they would actually enjoy reading.

I can remember, as a child, when we would have the childrens book of the month club in our school. I feel sorry for children that do not have that same love for books as I did when I was a youngster. Fortunately some people are not allowing that to happen to their child, or grandchild.

There are plenty of services out there that now offer a book of the month club that is specifically geared toward the younger reader.

Giving the gift of reading is a very precious thing, and when you watch a child grow up loving books it adds so much more to their lives than when they only have the video games and TV to fill the quiet moments.

Writing a Children’s Book that Sells Like Hotcakes

There are seven fundamental reasons that some books succeed and others collect dust on the author’s bookshelf. We get so focused on the idea of the book that we forget the mechanics. Here is the strategy that award winning authors use:

1. Create a hero that your audience can relate to.

2. Examine your target market honestly. Who will be reading your book?

3. Write for your audience, not your highschool English professor. Ex. Your characters should have the same character traits, as the rest of humanity.

Ex. Give all your characters depth.

4. Provide obstacles for your main characters. Life isn’t smooth. Your characters should have some type of self-realization.

Your job is to make that skim time as short as possible.
